Jaime Barros-Rios
President
Jaime Barros studies fundamental questions about plant metabolism to find applications in breeding for enhanced stress tolerance in major food/feed and bioenergy crops.
Cintia Arias
Officer
Since the beginning of her career, Cintia was intrigued about the processes that allow cells to function and how metabolites and enzymes act as connectors between different purposes. During her undergraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral studies in Argentina, Cintia studied a particular family of enzymes of the central metabolism involving not only their structural and kinetic differences but also their independent contribution to certain key processes of the plant life.
Fernanda Castro-Moretti
Officer
fernanda.rezendedecastromoretti@unt.edu
Fernanda R. Castro-Moretti is interested in plant-microbe interactions and metabolomics. Currently, she is working on a project that relates secondary metabolism and fungal endophytes of cultivated coffee and wild species from the same family, the Rubiaceae.
